"While sitting down for coffee with long time friend and colleague, serial entrepreneur and President of one of North America’s premier coffee franchise, I was relating Natureline’s evolution. We had superior lines of proven environmental products from the household cleaning line to emission and carbon footprint reducing products. We had diversified into personal care with our Rooibos based anti-aging line NatureFX and were actively pursuing a healthy highly consumable product to complete our line and fit with our business model of customer acquisition through redirected spending towards top quality cost effective environmental products. That was when the penny dropped. Rooibos was already better known as an extremely beneficial healthy herbal tea because of its antioxidants. And here we were, two entrepreneurs, one with an already successful environmental networking business already promoting Rooibos in its anti aging line, the other through his coffee franchise one of the largest importers of tea and coffee in North America. Tea already known to be healthy, the second most consumed beverage on the planet after water.

Was it possible to leverage our collective buying power and knowledge to pull together a product that could fit the networking model?

We put together a team of master tea blenders including the person charged with developing a tea line for the largest coffee chain on the planet with dieticians, nutritionists and traditional Chinese medicine experts and frankly hit an immediate home run. FIX Energy Tea, the first in our line, is an ALL natural, and I mean no added sugars or chemicals at all, blend of Japanese Matcha tea. Matcha being the very best shade grown tea leaves, meticulously harvested, prepared and ground, Matcha contains 137 times the antioxidants of regular green tea, which you know is good for you. We combined this premium tea, used in Japanese tea ceremonies, with some of the most powerful superfruits and adaptogenic herbs on the planet from every corner of the globe. Acai and yerba matte from South America, blueberries, cranberries, black currant and alfalfa from North America, Korean red ginseng, Siberian ginseng (eleuthero), Himalayan goji or wolfberry, Chinese ginko biloba, mangosteen from Indonesia, pomegranate from India and Persia famed in Ayurvedic medicine, rooibos from Africa, grape seed and apple pectin from Europe. All blended to perfection in a tea that to our surprise came out with an ORAC antioxidant score off the charts! Per 100g, a standard measure of ORAC score, (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, a method of measuring antioxidant capacities in biological samples in vitro) we rated at approximately 62,826 but even better than the score was the fact that the antioxidants are delivered in a usable and absorbable form.

So we have a great tasting energy tea that can be enjoyed as a traditional Japanese matcha by whisking a teaspoon to taste into a cup of hot, but not boiling water, or served over ice with a twist of lemon; or by combining it with a drink of choice either with a juice, steamed milk or soy milk as a latte, with a protein drink or a juice of your choice; or even simply added to a refillable water bottle and shaken.

Because of the amazing boost provided by the matcha itself, the yerba matte and the adaptogenic properties of the red ginseng and eleuthero you feel immediately lifted and then because of the different rates you metabolize the various naturally occurring complex sugars in the superfuits you maintain the effects over a period of up to 5 hours.
