Matcha ORAC Tests

ORAC, short for oxygen radical absorbance capacity, is a testing method developed by the USDA and Tufts University to quantifiably measure the potency of antioxidants found in foods and beverages. Foods that score high in an antioxidant assay called ORAC may protect cells and their components from damage by oxygen radicals, according to studies of animals and human blood.

In ORAC tests conducted by laboratories on matcha, the results proved to be exponentially greater than all foods and beverages known so far. Matcha ORAC score, in units per gram, surpasses all antioxidant rich foods identified by the USDA by a multiple of over 20!
